Corporate sponsorship
- how to get involved

Originally the village was funded by public subscription, with many of the larger donations coming from local companies and organisations. Examples of companies and organisations originally involved are: Rolls Royce, Derby CO-OP Society, The Rotary Club of Derby, British Rail, The Royal British Legion and many more.

Times have moved on and, as there are only two such villages in our country, our village has taken on a country-wide role. In view of this, we welcome involvement from business from the whole of the UK.

The benefit of getting involved and becoming a corporate sponsor is that you, as a business, are helping the community and fulfilling your corporate social responsibility goals. In addition, it is a very positive message to customers and employees that you are helping people who rely on your support.

The Trustees would like to offer three levels of Corporate Sponsorship:

  • Sponsors who feel they can make a contribution of £5,000 would be entitled to include on their stationery or company livery the following, "Proud to Support the War Memorial Village Derby" and your company Logo will be added to a page on our website acknowledging your support.
  • Sponsors who feel they can make a contribution of £10,000 would be entitled to all of the above and additionally your company Logo would appear on our Home Page describing your company as one our partners.
  • Sponsors who feel they can make a contribution of £20,000 would again be entitled to all of the above but additionally a plaque bearing your company name would mounted on a property within the village.

All of the above packages would receive the appropriate media coverage.
